Join us for a mesmerizing cinematic experience at “A Gathering Tide” – a captivating short documentary film directed by Gilly Booth and produced by Bronwen Gwillim. This evocative film captures a remarkable gathering of people, ideas, and memories, all converging on the exposed mud flats during the lowest tide of the year.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of East Angle Bay, nestled at the mouth of the Milford Haven waterway in South Pembrokeshire, “A Gathering Tide” paints a poignant portrait of a unique place and its vibrant community. Immerse yourself in over 30 minutes of stunning visual imagery, accompanied by enchanting music and soundscapes, as we embark on an insightful and occasionally playful exploration of meteorology, industry, marine biology, foraging, and the local economy.
As an extra treat, the event will feature the awe-inspiring installation piece titled “Our Branch that Stops Singing” by Billy Maxwell Taylor. Additionally, we will showcase a short screening of “The Pull” by Sam Walton, adding even more depth and inspiration to the evening.
