Hold onto your hats! Carmina Burana will be performed in Orff’s own two-piano version. But don’t worry – the pianos actually add to the percussive quality of the work. And, talking of percussion, the full range of bells and whistles will be deployed, hit by the British Sinfonietta percussion section!

Chilcott’s Songs and Cries of London Town and Britten’s Choral Dances from Gloriana will also be on the programme.

Venue: St David’s Cathedral

Simon Pearce and Laurence John will be in charge of the pianos. The soloists will be Claire Hampton and Gareth Dafydd Morris, and Luke Spencer will be marshalling all these combined forces from the conductor’s rostrum.
