Event Details
James Fells is an illustrator and landscape painter who grew up in North Pembrokeshire and now lives in Fishguard. As well as being an artist he also builds and repairs boats and as a result spends a lot of time on or around the water’s edge.
Marine creatures have always held a fascination for him due to their quirkiness and prove to be very good subjects to try and capture in his art. James moves freely from different styles and as a result his work benefits from a technical drawing ability gained whilst working in graphic design and then a looser fine art style developed through the need to work ‘au plein air’ in order to capture the moment as it happens.
