Milford Haven Heritage & Maritime Museum
Profile
Based in one of the oldest buildings in Milford Haven dating back to the 1700s, Milford Haven Heritage and Maritime Museum tells the story of the town and surrounding waterways. The museum has recently had a major facelift on the outside and has had undergone extensive work inside. We are at the start of major funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and there are big plans for the museum. Spread over two large spacious floors, you will find the story of the energy trade from the Whaling Industry to the modern-day Liquid Nitrogen Gas (LNG).
Find out the story of when Lord Nelson visited the town, how the Quakers played an important part in history and how the fishing trade developed within the area. Guided tours and handheld information devices are available. Our museum is manned by a friendly group of volunteers and will welcome you and help in any way they can.
Open Monday to Saturdays from April to October (please see our website for full details) 10.30 am – 16.00.
